The High Level Volleyball Coaching Course organised by the Legacy Volleyball Club in collaboration with the Lagos State Volleyball Association is ongoing at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.
Part of the essence of 2023 High Level coaching course is to improve the technical personnel capacity in the development and administration of the game.
According to the Instructor, Martins Nemec, posited that the relevance of the training is to contribute to the existing knowledge of the coaches.
He said the world of volleyball is changing due to the technical inputs and the technical handlers must be savvy of the existing techniques and other areas in the development of volleyball game.
“This is High Level coaching Course programme, which is meant to upgrade their knowledge in Volleyball and continuous training like this will have an effect on the performances on volleyball players and officials”.
One of the participants and Lagos State Volleyball Coach,Amata Christopher, disclosed that he is very happy for taking part in the High Level Coaching Course facilitated by Lagos State Volleyball Association.
Christopher said they have missed a lot and the introduction of the training with different techniques at the practical sessions will keep volleyball flying in the state.
To Agara Priscilla,a Volleyball Coach,the course has been impressive, adding that knowledge garnered will be taking down to their various clubs for onward improvement of the game.
“We have learnt a lots of new techniques, especially for some of us that have participated in All African Clubs Championship.We suffered from little changes, and l am going back to transfer the knowledge to players in order to get to the top level in the game of Volleyball”.
The week-long developmental programme designed to equipped technical persons with the current trends and to further sharpen their skills in the sport, will come to an end on Saturday.
