As part of their tune-up games to put the ladies in all-time readiness and fitness, the Asisat Oshoala Academy (AOA) had a friendly game with SGH Sports Academy last week in Lagos.
In the tune-up match, the Asisat Oshoala Academy again showed their superiority with a 2-0 victory over SGH ladies, as both teams played each other in a friendly at the Abati Barracks football pitch in Surulere, Lagos state.
Goals from midfielder Semenya Maria and Favour mercy were enough for the AOA girls to seal the much-needed victory.
This is the fifth friendly game the Asisat Oshoala academy will be playing this season.
Established by the foundation of former captain of Nigeria’s Super Falcons and FC Barcelona femini team, Asisai Oshoala Foundation opens two hours training for players Monday, Wednesday and Friday every week.

The academy, the latest initiative of Asisat Oshoala, five-time African Footballer of the Year is built upon her mission of providing access to sport and education for young girls in Lagos, southwest Nigeria.
Report from the academy shows that the students are in high spirits taking to the tutoring of the resource coaches who have been mobilised to deliver the best and teach the girl-players the basics of football and core values
The program will be complimented with life skills education covering a range of empowerment and rights-based topics. Graduates from the academy will be encouraged to convert their leadership skills to make a positive impact in their respective communities.
The Asisat Oshoala Foundation, established in 2015 is responsible for the day-to-day management of the academy. Women Win, the Amsterdam-based global women’s fund dedicated to advancing girls and women’s rights, is bringing their expertise to the academy’s development.
