BY SUNDAY AKINTOYE

Chief Coach of 36 Lion Football Club, Francis Akinrele has warned his opponents in group A to forget the victory when his team confront them in the Lagos Supremacy Cup scheduled to commence from November 27 through 30, 2024 at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena popularly known as Onikan Stadium on Lagos Island.

Five teams were drawn into two groups. Group A comprises 36 Lion FC, Dino FC, Ikorodu City FC, Broad City FC and Real Saphire FC.

Group B consist Beyond Limits, Seamoriow, Bethel, MS Success FC and Charlesann FC.

Akinrele told our correspondent on Tuesday morning that his team are formidable and they are ready to take their opponents to the cleaners.

“My expectations in Lagos Supremacy Cup is to win all my matches.I am not coming to this tournament for jamboree or picnic.I have started solid preparation and it would be a disaster if we fail to top the table at the end of the group matches,”he said.

Asked which team might give them tough match in the group,Akinrele popularly known as Baba Arigo said all the teams are a threat but specifically mentioned Dino and Ikorodu City as a major obstacles.

“I think Dino defeated us last year in the semi final and we are meeting them again. It is going to be a tough match for both teams.Ikorodu City may want to prove hard but i would cage them.Other teams are equally good but our victory is not negotiable,”he said.
