Organisers of the 2nd Dr. D. K. Olukoya Ibile Football Cup have pledged a splendid championship in Lagos between May 23 and 30, 2023.
The top three (3) teams will take home N150,000.00 (One Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira, N100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand Naira) and N50,000.00 (Fifty Thousand Naira)
Chief organiser and chairperson of the Lagos State Football and other sports Supporters club, Alhaja Shade Gbajumo is emphatic that there would be exciting football and orderliness among several teams in and around Lagos State as teams from Ikeja, Badagry, Epe, Lagos Island and Ikorodu Jostle for the glamorous Dr. D. K. Olukoya Cup won last year by Ikorodu outfit.
“We are grateful to Dr.D. K. Olukoya, a true man of God, for his continued resolve to back youth football development. We have pledged to encourage him with quality organisation in this 2nd edition. There would be no compromise on discipline and fairness”, began the ever-lively Shade Gbajumo on behalf of the main organising committee.
“Registration of teams is still on at the Lagos State football and other sports supports office at Teslim Balogun stadium Lagos. Only teams ready to abide by our rules towards a smooth Dr. D. K. Olukoya Ibile cup would be registered. There would be no late registration after this weekend so interested teams should do so now.
“The Tournament’s opening ceremony will hold at the Lagos Registration Centre Isheri on May 23 while the grand finale comes up May 31, 2023 at the Campus Mini Stadium Lagos Island”, she concluded.
