No fewer than 24 teams are expected to feature in 2023/24 Ikeja DFA Super League which kicks off on 16th, April, 2024 across centres.
The league which is being organised by Ikeja Divisional Football Association IDFA under the leadership of Alhaji Taiwo Alagbe would witness 24 teams battle for super six at the end of the season.
The league is home and away format and the participating clubs are divided into three groups while best two in each group would qualify for the super six.
Speaking at the draw ceremony held in Saturday afternoon in Lagos,Ikeja DFA boss, Alagbe expressed gratitude to the participating teams for their finacial commitment and confidence they have in division.
He said this year’s Ikeja DFA Super League would live up to expections considering the new clubs registered for the league and urged the club owners and coaches to abide by the rules governing the league.
“I am looking forward to the rewarding and better league that other divisions in the state would be proud of.I am happy that we have new clubs that would take part in the league and it is going to be a tough one for both old and new clubs.I am using this medium to wish all the teams all the best and good luck in their outings,”he said.
Eight teams are in each group.Group A are made up of SGH,Futurpro Sports, Austenplus FC,Fackaon Tofido FA,NAFRC FC,FC Ramond International, Ghetto Tigers and Shuffle Select.
Group b consist of Ace mariners FC, Hephzibah SC, African Future Stars, Samjason FC, Elite FC,Dannaz feeders and Olusosun United FC,
Group C comprises Useful youth SA, Black Rock FA, Future Stars 99, Prolific Stars, Pi FC, Diadem Stallion, YG FC, and Air Rovers FC.
