Lagos State contingent, comprising 202 athletes, coaches and accompanying officials, have landed in Ilaji Resort and Sports Centre just in time to participate in the South-West Zonal Eliminations Ball Games for the National Youth Games.
Ilaji Resort and Sports Centre is situated in Oloyo Village Off Ona-Ara Local Government Secretariat, Akanran, Ibadan, Oyo State.
Independent News Express reports that after thorough and weeklong preparations for the Games, nine team sports: Volleyball, Football, Basketball, Beach Volleyball, Rugby, Handball, and Cricket will be competing with their foes from other states at elimination contest for the 2023 National Youth Games which Delta State will host later in the year.
Among the participating sports is debutant Baseball and Softball, which will feature for the first time.
