Head Coach of Vinmo Energy Football Club of Ajegunle,Ganagana Efe has confessed that Prince Kazeem Eletu Football Club outplayed his team but noted that his opponents are not clinical in front of goal which contributed to their early exit in the annual football competition.
Efe said this, after his team shocked Prince Kazeem Eletu FC 2-0 in the round of 32 at the ongoing 1XBET Community Cup taking place at Nitel playground,Oshodi,Lagos.
Efe who was delighted to see his team qualified for the group stage described Eletu boys well organised team and one of the best grassroots football team in Nigeria.
“I must confess that we played a team that are technically good and tactically sound on the field of play unfortunately they are good in goal scoring.
“Of course they outplayed us especially when they were looking for equaliser but I must commend my players for their tactical discipline and doggedness exhibited throughout the match,”he said.
Asked what gave his team hard fought victory over Eletu boys, Efe said mental strength and determination of his players saw them through to the group stage.
He also commended his players for their commitment and ability to soak pressure throughout the encounter.
“My boys were focused and determined because Eletu are not an easy team you can score and go to sleep.My players worked hard throughout the pulsating tie and got the needed result at the end of the match,”he said.
