The group stage draws of the third edition of the 1XBet Cup which took place on Wednesday in Lagos has placed debutant Africano FC Nigeria in Group A.
Africano FC, which was described by the organizer as one of the daring newcomers who aren’t afraid of anyone and are ready to write their names in the history of the tournament, will be playing in Group A as the only newcomer.
They will be jostling for a knockout stage spot in their group alongside Nath Boys FC, 36 Lions FC, Collins Edwins and Community Gunners.
The duo of 36 Lions and Collins Edwins made their debut in 2024, while Nath Boys FC and Community Gunners made theirs in 2023.
The fixtures for the group stage matches is yet to be released , but organizers have scheduled it to run from August 12, 2025 to September 10, 2025.
Africano FC who made resounding statement during the qualifiers understands the task ahead and will be looking forward to living up to the hype which organizers have heaped on them.
