Twelve football academies within Agege and its environs would begin battle in the forthcoming U-15 Developmental Youth Championship scheduled to commence on June 15, Saturday,2024 at the NYSC Orientation Camp playground, Iyana-Ipaja, Lagos.
The championship is organised by the Agege Football Coaches Council led by Ajayi Olumide.
Four matches have been lined up for the opening match.First match would be played between Victory Future Stars and Ceyorts Football Academies by 10am.
While Little United Academy tackle Soccer Plus E Academy by 11am as Agege Sport Club battle One World by 12noon.
The last match of the day is Invisible United Academy would taken on Peace Football Academy by 1pm. A total of twelve teams were divided into four groups.
The Agege Football Coaches Council Leader, Olumide said that the championship is designed to catch them young and allow young footballers to come to limelight
He reminded the coaches and club owners that the championship is not a do or die affairs but pointed out that the purpose of the championship is to develop the young footballers who want to take the round leather game as careers.
